Preschool Teacher Training and Certification Program

The Anchorage Vineyard Family Resource Center provides job training opportunities through the Preschool Teacher Training Program.

The program provides training to meet the requirements of the Child Development Associate (CDA) national preschool teaching credential.  Distance delivery of training is provided in an asynchronous at-your-own-pace training module- when it is convenient for you.

Following the criteria for the CDA (www.cdacouncil.org), participants   accrue training hours, classroom hours, and develop a professional CDA Portfolio.   Candidates then participate in a formal assessment process, make application to the CDA Council, and complete visit with CDA PD Specialist.

Earning a CDA preschool teaching credential opens up doors for career advancement and earning potential, as well as improving the quality of education in early learning centers.

The cost of the program is $1,800 and takes between 6 and 12 months to complete.

Graduates of the program may receive priority for full time employment at the Vineyard Early Learning Center and/or are assisted with job placement.   For more information, please call (907)   248-0808 and ask for the Teacher Training program.
